The below footage shows bird’s eye footage of a three-week construction project under Trafalgar Road completed in Oakville, Ontario in a high-traffic zone.
The New Communities of Oakville will be home to 50,000 people, create nearly 35,000 jobs, and include residential, commercial, employment, institutional and natural open spaces. Stormwater management is a top priority when it comes to large developments. This project required a 92m bridge/culvert under Trafalgar Road, a highly used, important route for many people in the area.

The road could not be closed during the installation of this bridge/culvert and no delays for construction would be accepted. DECAST manufactured all components weeks in advance and delivered precast footings and DE-SPAN®s exactly when the contractor required them. To excavate, install 27 precast footings, install the 40 DE-SPAN®s, backfill and pave (leaving one half of the road open at all times) took only 22 days.
