Honorary membership is awarded by the CCPPA to a person who has made a significant and sustained contribution to the Canadian concrete pipe and precast industry over an extended period of time.
Honorary Members enjoy a standing invitation to CCPPA meetings and be welcomed to contribute to CCPPA affairs.

Following graduation from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA, Drew joined the concrete pipe and precast industry with Waterloo Concrete Products in 1975. His career path allowed him the opportunity to work in Canada, Chile, California and back where he was VP/GM of the Eastern Canadian Region for Hanson Pipe and Products prior to launching JD Industrial Sales. He has been an active leader in industry associations throughout his career including serving as President of the Ontario Sewer and Watermain Association and Chair of the Marketing Committee of the American Concrete Pipe Association. Drew looks forward to maintaining his contacts from coast to coast to coast in Canada and across North America during retirement.

Doug started his career in 1974 as an Accountant at Bestpipe in Kitchener Ontario.
In 1976 became Comptroller of Waterloo Concrete Products.
In 1996 transferred to Windsor plant and became General Manager of Fauteux. During this time was on the negotiating team with Blue Circle Cement to merge its concrete pipe business with Lafarge’s in the Province of Ontario.
With the merger in 1998 Doug became Chief Financial Officer of the newly formed Centennial Pipe & Products.
In 2004 partnered with the Mion family and started a new greenfield operation in Ayr Ontario called M-Con Pipe & Products. The business grew with several expansions. Doug was President of M Con Pipe from its inception until his retirement at the end of 2020.

Edwin graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1976 in Civil Engineering, and Wilfrid Laurier University with an MBA Finance in 1987.
He has worked at the Forterra Cambridge plant since April of 1976 and has held many senior management positions.
Edwin has been actively involved in Industry Associations that impact our product lines. These include OCPA, CCPPA, CSA, and ACPA. He initiated research and development with concrete mix designs, box units, manhole bases, fatigue analysis on girder beams. This involved working with various Ontario Universities.
He was Chairman of the Plant Prequalification Program for over twenty five years.
Edwin was one of two industry reps that helped the development of the OPSS 1821 specification. The reasons were two-fold: develop an off the shelf standard that any producer can use, and avoid the tedious eight hour design work by hand needed for every design.
Edwin’s daily activities were to manage Engineering and Operations for the Canadian Plants.

Gerry graduated from University of Galway, Ireland in 1979 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering. He immigrated to Canada in October 1981.
In 2001 he joined the concrete pipe industry and was appointed Vice President Technical Marketing Northeast Region for Hanson Pipe and Products.
In 2007 he was appointed Executive Director of the Ontario Concrete Pipe Association.

Mark spent his career of over 43 years working at the Langley Concrete Group in British Columbia. Along with his three brothers, Mark was a co-owner of Langley Concrete Group which is a third-generation family business started by his grandfather in 1945 with the original office still located in Langley BC. Over the years, Mark and his family expanded the business footprint in BC, both on the mainland and onto Vancouver Island to become the leading concrete pipe and precast supplier for the province of British Columbia.
Throughout his career Mark has shown dedication, provided leadership and made significant contributions to the concrete pipe and precast industries in both Canada and the US. Mark served as a long time Board member as well as Chairman of the Board for both the Canadian Concrete Pipe and Precast Association (CCPPA) as well as the American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA).

Mel graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. In Civil Engineering in 1960 and has been involved with concrete pipe and precast concrete products for more than 60 years. He has held jobs as General Manager for a large Ontario concrete pipe manufacturer and as President for a Vancouver wire manufacturing company. Since 1980, he has operated his own consulting firm and manufacturers agency representing several suppliers to the precast concrete industry. Mel also teaches precast concrete production schools for the ACPA, NPCA, CPCA and individual pipe and precast companies.
